Director Prashanth Neel directed only four films, but his name is reverberating across the country among movie circles. This is because of his distinctive filmmaking style that blends dark themes with solid commercial elements. His latest film Salaar : Part 1 Cease Fire, starring Prabhas in the lead role, is currently smashing numerous box office records all over.
As per the ongoing speculations, Neel has reportedly bagged a staggering 100 Crores as remuneration for Salaar. With the monstrous success of the KGF franchise, Neel proved that he could handle commercial potboilers like no other among the current crop of directors. This has made him a prime favourite for producers who are willing to shell out huge moneybags to produce his films.
Reportedly, Hombale Films didn’t bat an eyelid when Neel quoted 100 Crores for the two-part action saga, Salaar. Neel now joins the likes of Rajamouli and Sukumar who are the highest-paid directors from South India. Neel is also the first Kannada director to get the record remuneration.
Up next, Prashanth Neel will direct NTR and will also work on the second part of Salaar.
