Visakhapatnam: Nara Lokesh, TDP National General Secretary, led the 222nd day of his Yuvagalam Padayatra in Yelamanchili, addressing various issues. Anganwadi workers met Lokesh, submitting a memorandum and expressing solidarity. Inspecting fields damaged by Cyclone Migzam, he was briefed on crop losses. Lokesh promised immediate pension provision on the first day of TDP government.
During a meeting with retired employees, he criticized the Jagan government for lacking direction in pension disbursement and alleged harassment of teachers. Comparing TDP’s past governance, which included a 43% fitment and reverse fitment for employees, with Jagan’s, Lokesh claimed government employees were adversely affected under Jagan’s rule, breaking promises made before elections and causing distress among retired employees.
