New Delhi: On Wednesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi commemorated the security personnel who made the ultimate sacrifice during the 2001 Parliament attack. He expressed, “Today, we remember and pay heartfelt tributes to the brave security personnel martyred in the Parliament attack in 2001. Their courage and sacrifice in the face of danger will forever be etched in our nation’s memory.”
Modi, accompanied by Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Home Minister Amit Shah, and other dignitaries, participated in a ceremony at the Parliament House to honor the fallen heroes. The attack claimed the lives of nine individuals, including eight security personnel, with all five Pakistan-sponsored terrorists being neutralized.
