Akkineni Nagarjuna’s 99th film ‘Naa Saami Ranga’, touted to be a village drama, was officially announced on his birthday in August this year. A scintillating teaser was also unveiled on the same day and Nag appeared in a stylish and mass avatar.
The makers of Naa Saami Ranga announced on the day of the launch that the film will hit the screens for the Sankranti season. However, industry circles believed that it might be highly impossible for the team to ready the film by January because they would have to shoot non-stop to meet the deadline. However, the team pulled off a mind-blowing feat by wrapping up the entire shooting formalities in less than 60 working days.
The regular shooting commenced in mid-September and the team worked relentlessly until completion. The post-production activities are currently in full swing and the film is going to hit the screens during the festival season.
Nagarjuna believes that the commercial elements and rural set-up in the story will strike a chord with the moviegoers during the festival season. So, he took part in the shoot without taking any break and completed the film in less than three months.
The promotional activities have already commenced with the release of the first look of Ashika Ranganath, who is the leading lady in the film. The first single will be out in a few more days.
Choreographer-turned-director Vijay Binny is calling the shots for this film. MM Keeravani is the music composer. Srinivasaa Silver Screen banner is bankrolling the film.
