Telangana Congress chief Revanth Reddy, who was recently designated as the state’s new chief minister, will reportedly tender his resignation to the Lok Sabha today. According to sources, Revanth Reddy will reach the Lok Sabha this afternoon and formally submit his resignation from the house.

On Tuesday evening, Congress General Secretary KC Venugopal announced after the CLP meeting that Revanth Reddy would be the new Congress Legislature Party chief in Telangana. He secured a landslide victory in the Kodangal constituency over his nearest rival, Patnam Narender Reddy, a BRS candidate.

The oath-taking ceremony for the new chief minister will be held at 1:05 PM on Thursday at LB Stadium in Hyderabad. Congress leaders Mallikarjun Kharge, Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, and others are expected to attend the ceremony.
