Even before the release of SS Rajamouli’s RRR, Ram Charan commenced shooting for Shankar’s political thriller Game Changer. Due to numerous reasons, the film’s shoot got delayed several times and there is still twenty percent of production left to be completed. Recently, the team wrapped up a two-week schedule in Mysore.
As Shankar’s Indian 2 is slated for release in mid-2024, there have been speculations that Game Changer might be pushed to 2025. But, the latest update suggests that Ram Charan is very particular about not missing out on 2024. It is believed that Ram Charan has exhorted Shankar to complete the pending activities by Summer and get the film ready for release in the second half of 2024.
Producer Dil Raju is looking to target Diwali 2024 to take advantage of the festival Holiday in North India as the film is going to have a wide release all over the country. Moreover, no other big-ticket film of Tollywood is in contention for release during Diwali 2024. So, he wants to lock the release date once the shooting formalities are done and dusted.
Meanwhile, Ram Charan is determined to wrap up his part in the next two months and shift his attention towards Buchi Babu’s project. He is planning to commence the shooting of ‘RC16’ in Summer next year.
