On the eve of Naga Chaitanya’s birthday ( November 23rd), the makers of his upcoming film, which is tentatively called NC23, unveiled the first look poster today afternoon and it has him in a raw and intense get-up.
As speculated all these days, the film is interestingly titled Thandel. It is a native word associated with a fisherman’s life. The intriguing poster features Chaitu sitting inside a boat with an anxious expression on his face. He bulked up a bit and grew long hair with a thick beard for this film. The sea backdrop is fascinating and the design is very impressive.
The story of Thandel is based on true incidents which unravelled off the Gujarat coast a few years ago. Chaitu will be seen in a realistic role as a fisherman. After locking the script work, the team of Thandel did a lot of research and studied the lifestyle of fishermen to know about their culture.
The film has already grabbed a lot of attention even before it was officially launched because of the strong promotional campaign by the makers from the beginning.
Directed by Chandoo Mondeti, Thandel boasts an ensemble cast. Sai Pallavi is the female lead and Devi Sri Prasad will render the soundtrack. The regular shooting will commence in December.
Allu Arvind’s Geetha Arts banner will bankroll the film on a solid budget.
