Mythri taking a huge gamble with Salaar

Leading production and distribution house of Tollywood, Mythri Movie Makers is taking a huge gamble with Prabhas starrer ‘Salaar’. As per reliable reports, they snapped the theatrical rights of the Prashanth Neel directional pertaining to Naizam territory for an astronomical price.

Reportedly, they offered a whopping 90.50 Crores out of which 65 Crores is non-refundable advance for the Naizam rights and this is the second biggest deal after SS Rajamouli’s RRR. The staggering offer given by Mythri is now the talk of town in industry circles because the film will need to perform beyond expectations to achieve the break even mark.

It is a known fact that Prabhas’ biggest blockbuster Baahubali 2 collected 65 Crores share in Naizam. His previous outings incurred huge losses due to poor performance. The biggest hit in this region, RRR originally amassed around 80 Crores share though the numbers circulated by the producer are inflated very much. So, it will be a tall ask for Salaar to emulate these numbers. It will need some box office onslaught to go near the magic figure for the buyers.

Sources revealed that Mythri Movie Makers is planning a grand release all over the state with record number of shows in the first week. The ticket prices might also be hiked after getting special permission from the government.

No doubt, Salaar is carrying mammoth expectations because of the heady combination. Prashanth Neel’s track record and Prabhas’ pan-India craze are the main reasons why the film is shattering numerous records with its pre-release business.

Salaar is slated for release on December 22nd.
