Supreme Court Adjourns Chandrababu Anticipatory Bail Petition

The Supreme Court today adjourned the anticipatory bail petition filed by TDP Chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu in connection with the FiberNet case till November 9th. The plea was filed against Andhra Pradesh High Court refusing anticipatory bail to Chandrababu Naidu.

The bench comprising Justices Aniruddha Bose and Bela M. Trivedi was hearing the matter. Earlier, the AP CID mentioned before the court that it would not arrest Mr. Naidu. He was accused of playing a key role in the AP FiberNet Scam that happened during his regime in Andhra Pradesh.

AP CID accused him of exerting pressure on officials to award a particular company with the contract.

Earlier this week, the Supreme Court reserved its judgment on another petition by Chandrababu Naidu quashing an FIR in connection with the Skill Development Scam case and refused interim bail to him.
