Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy today visited Samarlakota. YS Jagan participated in the mass housewarming ceremony of the newly-built houses in the YSR Colony in Samarlakota in the Kakinada district. He addressed a public meeting after that.
He claimed that under the ‘Pedalandariki Illu’ scheme in AP, 72,000 acres of land was distributed among 31.7 lakh families to guarantee housing facility for one crore people. He stated that a total of 16,000 YSR Colonies have been developed in the 13,000 gram panchayats in Andhra Pradesh. He revealed that the market value of these 72,000 acres of land is around Rs. 75,000 Crores.
YS Jagan added that the construction of 7.43 lakh houses, including 1.57 lakh TIDCO houses has been completed. After speaking about the scheme, YS Jagan took a jibe at Nara Chandrababu Naidu. He called the people to compare the ruling of his and Chandrababu’s. Jagan alleged that Chandrababu hasn’t come forward with any policy of guaranteed house sites for the poor.
