Salaar vs Dunki will be an epic clash

Going by the ongoing buzz in trade circles, there will be an epic clash at the box office during the Christmas weekend. A Bollywood biggie is likely to lock horns with the most anticipated South India film.

Shah Rukh Khan, who is on a career-high after scoring back-to-back blockbusters with Pathaan and Jawan, has reaffirmed that his upcoming film Dunki will hit the screens on December 22nd. There are mammoth expectations on this Raj Kumar Hirani directional which is based on Indian immigrants settled in Canada. There will be plenty of entertainment and drama laced into the narrative of Dunki.

On the other side, KGF director Prashanth Neel and Baahubali actor Prabhas united for the biggest action spectacle of the country, Salaar. The film was supposed to release in September. However, due to some production challenges, the makers deferred the release date. It is believed that Salaar will also release on December 22nd. The expectations on this film are quite unprecedented and it is likely to take a massive opening all over.

Though trade circles expected that only one of these two films will release during the Christmas season, it is now almost official that both Dunki and Salaar will vie at the box office in what could be termed as the biggest clashes ever in history.

Having scored two consecutive industry hits, Shah Rukh is very confident that Dunki will be another record-breaking hit. So, he has no plans to postpone the film. Meanwhile, Salaar team feels that if they miss out on December, it will be very difficult for them to choose another ideal date in the next few months. Neel and Prabhas are optimistic that the huge hype on Salaar will negate any competition at the box office.

As both Dunki and Salaar are eagerly awaited by moviegoers across the country, it would be an interesting tussle if at all the clash happens.
