Charan and Dil Raju not happy with Shankar

Thursday, November 21, 2024

Top-league director Shankar Shanmugam has a knack for making big-scale films with extravagant budgets and top-notch production values. He usually takes more than a year to complete the principal photography for his films.

Due to the extensive post-production phase, he takes almost two years for each project. His next film Game Changer with Ram Charan has been in the making for nearly two years and still, there is an adequate portion to be completed.

Game Changer was announced in February 2021. The regular shooting commenced in September in the same year. It is unlikely that the film will be completed by the end of this year. It will require an additional six months for post-production activities. The chances for release in the first half of 2024 look bleak.

As per reliable reports, both Charan and Dil Raju are not happy with the way Shankar handled this project. He initially promised to release the film in 2023. But, he changed his plans and went on to resume Kamal Haasan’s Indian 2. By handling two big-budget films at a time, Shankar started sailing on two boats which is a risky and challenging task.

The inordinate delay caused the budget to swell further. So, Dil Raju is not pleased with Shankar’s approach. Charan is also not content with the poor planning because his future projects will suffer due to Game Changer.

Shankar should put a pedal on the shooting formalities and wrap up the remaining portions by the end of this year.
