Which Telugu film will occupy ‘Salaar’ date ?

Although the production house of Prabhas’ highly anticipated big-budget entertainer Salaar is tight-lipped about the release date, rumours are flying thick and fast that the film might be postponed to an indefinite time due to some unforeseen circumstances.

While this shocking and unexpected news has come as a huge letdown for Prabhas’ fans, filmmakers of many upcoming movies are looking to take advantage of the postponement.

September 28th is an ideal release date for films because of the long holiday weekend followed by the Gandhi Jayanti. So, many upcoming films are initially planned for release on that date. As Salaar was carrying massive expectations in all territories, many of those films opted to stay out of the competition.

Now, Telugu films like Skanda and Tiger Nageswara Rao are reportedly eyeing the vacant slot. Though Skanda is scheduled to release on September 15th, the makers are planning to move the release date to September 28th. There is a considerable portion of post-production work left for Tiger Nageswara Rao. So, there might be no change in its release date.

Meanwhile, a bunch of films from other languages have already announced the release date as September 28th anticipating an official announcement about Salaar release date.

In Bollywood, The Vaccine War has already locked the same date. Some more Hindi films might join the race soon. In Tamil, 4 upcoming films have suddenly occupied the date.
