Buzz : ‘Salaar’ to get postponed?

A piece of big news about Prabhas’ highly anticipated actioner Salaar is likely to be out very shortly. As per the ongoing speculations in the media circles, the release of Salaar is going to be postponed for an indefinite time due to the pending post-production activities.

It is a known fact that the makers of Salaar locked September 28th as the release date. The teaser was unveiled a couple of months back. The trailer was supposed to be out by the end of August. But, due to hectic post-production work, there has been no update on the release of the theatrical trailer till now. Moreover, there is no news about the promotions so far.

Speculations are rife in media circles that there is still a considerable portion of CG work left to be completed as the director is not happy with the output so far. Though there is nearly one month left for release, the makers believe that the team will require ample time to complete the pending activities smoothly. Also, they feel that the film will require aggressive promotions. So, they don’t want to rush things.

The talk in the industry circles is that the release date of Salaar might be pushed to December. As of now, there is no confirmation from the production house. We have to wait for a couple of days to get clarity on these rumours.

Directed by Prashanth Neel, Salaar stars Shruthi Haasan and Prithviraj Sukumaran in significant roles. Hombale Films banner is bankrolling this film.
