The ongoing case of the AP Government against the media baron Ramoji Rao and his Margadarsi Chit Funds company is still going on as the government sent its officials to have sudden raids against the will of the Eenadu chairman.
A team of officials from CBI, Stamps and Enforcement Department raised as many as 49 branches of Margadarsi across the two Telugu States and enquired about the customers’ details, their accounts, and funds regarding the case. They seized some records and took them alongside the payment histories of the bidders. Shocked by the raids, Ramoji Rao cried foul on the Jagan Sarkar as the raids are intentional only to trouble him and his daughter-in-law cum Managing Director of the company, Sailaja Kiran in this regard. Ramoji Rao also stressed on the High Court’s verdict of issuing an order not to conduct searches as the case is still in progress.
Meanwhile, the officials declare that Ramoji Rao and Sailaja Kiran again escaped the CBI questioning that was due on the 16th and 17th of this month in Guntur. Now the CID will issue fresh notices to the duo to attend for another questioning or to see what it does since they failed to attend the questioning.
