The Ministers of the AP’s ruling party have been playing with the voters of the State as far as the capital issue is concerned. A recent act of one of the YSRCP Ministers explains everything regarding why there is a lot of unrest and anti-incumbency in the AP Government.
Even since YSRCP gained power in 2019, it wooed the citizens of Andhra by claiming that not just one but they will decentralize the power and make three capitals for the first time in the history of Indian states. In this regard, they stated Vizag will have the Executive status, Amaravati as the Legislative capital and Kurnool would get the High Court but none of such works actually happened. All of a sudden, the CM took a huge U-turn and declared that Vizag will be the sole capital and declared the same at the Vizag Global Investors Summit. Botsa was questioned this morning whether when would the CM shift his camp office from Tadepalli to Vizag and all Botsa could answer was ‘Soon, Bye Bye, Will See you soon’ leaving the press in huge shock. The AP Education Minister who has all the time in the world to ridicule CBN or Pawan Kalyan has no time nor patience to answer anything regarding the capital.
Needless to say, the AP Government led by the YSRCP has no goodwill whatsoever in schemes or development let alone the capital issue. Political experts opine that these acts would directly cost the YSRCP a lot in the upcoming elections.
