The ongoing rains in the two Telugu States are making it hard for the livelihood of the people, especially in Telangana, the rains have recorded a new high and the entire state is now on red alert.
Heavy rains in the state of Telangana are troubling government officials as they completely created floods and created havoc in isolated places. The regions of Khammam, Bhadradri, Kothagudem, etc are already on high alert and the Indian Meteorological Department issued an official orange alert. Rains on Wednesday received a record-breaking 194 mm of rainfall in Venkatapuram in the Mulugu district, which is an indication of upcoming floods and waterlogging. Even the core city of Hyderabad is on alert and rainfalls are expected to drench the city until Friday. As a safety measure, the officials have given holidays to all the educational institutions and asked the private and IT industries to maintain a timeline to lessen the traffic on flooded roads.
The rains continue to haunt the AP State as well and the officials already alerted those who live in the isolated places of the Godavari River. Fishermen are advised not to go into the Bay of Bengal as there are gusty winds blowing against the tide due to the stormy weather. All in all, the two Telugu States are advised to take a great deal of care for the upcoming days until these rains end.
