Monday, November 25, 2024

The Opposition leader of Andhra Pradesh Nara Chandrababu Naidu has written a letter to the Central Government against the encroachment of Forest lands by some local leaders in the district of West Godavari.

Addressing the Union Minister of Forests, Environment, and Climate Change, Mr. Bhupender Yadav, Naidu wrote that about 367 acres in the area of Allmacher Rajupalem in T Narasapuram constituency was identified as the reserve forest land according to a notification released by the Forest Department under AP Forest Act 1967 and these lands shall be preserved at any cost. However, there have been encroachments in this land and these encroachers even challenged to own the land in the High Court but the case was in interim stay, which means no action shall be taken by either government or the encroachers until the judgment. However, these encroachers have started their activities in those reserve lands by cultivating them, constructing things, digging borewells, and even installing electricity pillars illegally. CBN declared in the letter that such activities on the lands belonging to the Forest Department shall not be done without the support of the AP Government so he requested the Minster and Center to take action.

Naidu released the letter to the media this morning and opined that it is every human’s duty to safeguard forest lands and preserve nature despite political differences.
