Nayakudu Trailer : Soul-stirring and Intense

Tamil film Maamannan is dubbed into Telugu as Nayakudu. The theatrical trailer of this film was unveiled by Tollywood Superstar Mahesh Babu and ace director SS Rajamouli just a while ago and it brims with myriad emotions.

Starring Udayanidhi Stalin, Vadivelu, Keerthi Suresh, and Fahadh Faasil in the lead roles, Nayakudu seems to be a thought-provoking and intense political drama with soul-stirring performances by the central characters. It touches on sensitive issues like casteism and ostracism. The three-minute trailer entirely revolves around the different emotions portrayed by these four actors.

It appears like the story is about two politicians hailing from different communities. While Vadivelu is a man of values, Fahadh Faasil is a brash and aggressive individual. Vadivelu’s son Udayanidhi Stalin is cast out of his town by the dominant community and he is desperate to make an impact on the society. Keerthi Suresh plays his confidant and she seems to have got a meaty role.

Though the trailer proceeds at a leisurely pace, it has got enough substance to keep the viewers hooked to the narrative. The hard-hitting performances and intense narration are going to be the major assets of the film.

Music by AR Rahman is quite immersive. The cinematography also adds weight to the strong setup. Directed by Mari Selvaraj, the film is slated for release on June 29. Red Giant Movies banner is the production unit of this film.
