Young and talented hero Nikhil Siddharth’s latest outing Spy which was released yesterday ended up with mixed to below-average reviews. Despite being on a successful path with the gigantic success of ‘Kathikeya-2’ and coming up with a unique concept, Spy failed to reach the average movie lover’s expectations. Trade experts are here to find out what misfired and they couldn’t help themselves imagine what if ‘Spy Thrillers Specialist’ Adivi Sesh did this movie in the first place.
Young maker Garry tried his best to execute a Raw Agent’s attempt to save the world by tapping the never touched point of ‘Secret Files of Subhash Chandrabose’ but the attempt failed in many technical departments except for the background score. From action sequences to the slow-paced screenplay, everything went in vain making the audience feel boredom. In a nutshell, most of the moviegoers felt that the team has wasted a wonderful chance of scoring a blockbuster. At this juncture, many are agreeing to the fact that the makers did a mistake by not teaming up with the hero Adivi Sesh who has created his own image and stardom with Spy thrillers. The actor not only did a good acting job but was also involves in the script and screenplay departments which gave stunning outputs in the name of ‘Kshanam’, Goodachari’, ‘HIT-2’, Major’, etc.., If in case Sesh was taken on board, he would have tightened up the screenplay and made the movie a slick thriller instead of a boring one.
Whatever was said and done, Spy managed to get more than 10 crores on its opening day, and with no other movies in huge competition in the Summer, it would fare decently for a week next to ‘Samajavaragamana’ which was a hit already.
