Nikhil Siddhartha’s next pan-India outing SPY, helmed by cinematographer-turned-director Garry BH, is up for release on June 28th. The recently released theatrical trailer has elicited a solid response from all quarters and augmented the hype on the film further. However, the visuals in the trailer seemed to be slightly underwhelming when compared to the slick teaser. It appeared like the makers have hurriedly cut the trailer as the release date is fast approaching.
Reportedly, Nikhil is not fully pleased with the output as per our exclusive sources. It is heard that Nikhil expressed a slight dissatisfaction after watching the final output of the film and felt it could have been more appealing with better visuals. This is why he wanted to postpone the film to facilitate the production team to come up with a quality output. Though he was initially against the producer’s plan to release the film in this short period, Nikhil finally agreed because he got no other option except to wait for the verdict from moviegoers.
Meanwhile, the censor formalities have been completed and the film received a U/A certificate. The crisp runtime of 135 times will give an edge to the film. The film’s story is based on the mystery surrounding the death of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose.
SPY is produced by ED Entertainment banner. It stars Aryan Rajesh and Aishwarya Menon in significant roles.
