Akkineni fans furious with Nagarjuna’s poor strategy

Nepotism is rampant in Tollywood. Most of the top-league actors of the current generation hail from illustrious families of big communities in the Telugu States. While Mega and Nandamuri families encouraged scores of actors, Akkineni family has Nagarjuna and his two sons, Akhil and Naga Chaitanya, carrying the legacy forward. Unfortunately, both Akkineni youngsters couldn’t match the potential and stardom of other current-generation stars. One of the major reasons for it is that both Akhil and Naga Chaitanya couldn’t work with big-ticket directors like other stars. Nagarjuna is reportedly being held responsible for not taking due care of his sons. This has come to the fore once again after the release of Akhil’s latest film, Agent.

It is a known fact in the industry that Chiranjeevi involves minutely in every project of Ram Charan. It is openly stated that Chiru listens to the scripts before Charan green signals them. Chiru also plays an instrumental role in setting up crazy directors for Charan. This is the reason why Charan was able to score blockbuster hits in his career and elevate his stardom. Chiru also extends good moral support to all other Mega heroes.

NTR Jr. also got support from the Nandamuri clan at the beginning of his career as his father Hari Krishna and other loyal bigwigs of his grandfather’s family ensured he got a good launch pad in Tollywood. Mahesh Babu also got solid backing from the Ghattamaneni family and his father legendary actor Superstar Krishna.

Unfortunately, Akhil and Chaitu didn’t get the required support from Nagarjuna like other stars got from their families. From the beginning of their careers, Nagarjuna couldn’t set blockbuster combinations for his sons. Barring a couple of projects, both Akhil and Chaitu worked mostly with second-tier directors. Though both of them had the potential to score big hits, poor script selection and lack of big directors made them suffer badly till now.

Akkineni fans are raged and annoyed at Nagarjuna’s approach to his two sons especially after the embarrassing result of Agent . They are not happy because he hardly involves in script selection and never makes a big attempt to promote their films. Moreover, they feel that Nag is unable to use his experience and influence to set big directors for Akhil and Chaitu. Time and again, fans are ruing the fact that Akkineni’s films are falling short of expectations and killing their interest. They feel that it is high time Nagarjuna steps up and set right the careers of both Akhil and Naga Chaitanya.
