The center of attraction in the entire murder case of YS Vivekananda Reddy, Dastagiri has got more security after his appeal. The former driver of the murdered ex-MP feels that security is a must at this point in life since the threats intensified.
The accused turned approver Dastarigi has been protected by the local police with one plus one security until now and he is out on bail roaming freely despite participating in the case. However, Dastagiri appealed for additional security to the Kurnool range IG and also to the CBI recently and yesterday he went and met the District SP KN Anburajan to explain the same. Dastagiri in his appeal declared that if anything happens to his life, then the AP CM Jaganmohan Reddy and Avinash Reddy should take responsibility. He claimed that the followers of the ruling party have been tailing him everywhere and are passing death threats. So he urged the SP to increase security.
The SP Anbujan revised the security in this regard and granted four plus two security to Dastagiri, which is normally obtained for only celebrities and VVIPs. Needless to reiterate that Dastagiri who participated in the murder later turned approver when he was questioned since his conscience made him do so. He helped the case and provided many details that linked the obtained evidence with the crime scene. Police have arrested five members already and taken Bhaskar Reddy into custody while questioning Avinash Reddy every day.
