Proving the allegations of the opposition parties of TDP and Janasena, the fact-finding committee declared that the ruling party of AP, YSRCP has completely violated the rules in its constructions around Rushikonda.
Going into the details, the TDP MLA Velagapudi Ramakrishna and Janasena leader PVNN Murthy Yadav have separately filed cases against the YSRCP Government for destroying the Rushikonda hill under the name of development. The High Court of AP which took this issue ordered a fact-finding committee and asked for an affidavit. After thorough research, the fact-finding committee in its report to the HC declared that the YSRCP government did a lot of encroachment. Seeking permission for just 9 acres, the construction happened on more than 18 acres around Rushikonda. The committee reiterated that the Rushikonda Zone belongs to the Coastal Regulation Zone-2 where the constructions shall only happen for tourism purposes but the constructions done by the ruling party for the CM’s camp office have nothing related to tourism.
The affidavit also blamed the VUDA for its silence over these illegal constructions and encroachments done by the Government itself. One has to wait and see what the HC would say in its final hearing. Meanwhile, the YSRCP rebel MP Raghu Ramakrishnan Raju has filed his separate case regarding the same to add more weightage against the AP Government.
