Inside Talk : NTR’s counter to Ram Charan

During the pre-release promotions of SS Rajamouli’s behemoth RRR, NTR stole the limelight with his oratory skills. Ram Charan was a mere spectator then. After the release of RRR, both Charan and NTR got due credits for their career-best performances. Though the PR teams of both these star actors ran simultaneous campaigns to project their respective heroes in a better position, moviegoers loved them equally for their swashbuckling screen presence.

Later, Ram Charan hired a renowned PR team from Mumbai before the Oscars campaign and got tremendous mileage. Charan received huge attention in various global events in the run-up to the Oscars. Meanwhile, he also lined up solid projects for the next three years. All this made Charan very popular all over India in the span of two months. Many felt that NTR was lagging in all aspects when compared to Charan.

To counter Charan, NTR struck a stunning and unexpected deal a few days back. He signed a Bollywood film ( War 2) opposite Hrithik Roshan in the YRF spy universe. This announcement created tremors in trade circles and NTR’s name is now buzzing across the country.

Talk in the industry is that NTR countered Ram Charan’s strategy quite unexpectedly by using all his influence. He has lined up Koratala Siva’s pan-India film and Prasanth Neel’s big-budget entertainer for the next couple of years. He will shoot for War 2 after wrapping up NTR30 and then will move to Neel’s project. It remains to be seen what are Ram Charan’s plans now after NTR’s surprise move.
