Andhra Pradesh BJP wing has been experiencing a dull phase the month Somu Verraju took the leadership from Kanna Lakshminarayana. Sources close to BJP state that the leaders are in talks with a popular veteran leader to make him join the party.
The leader is none other than the last Chief Minister of United AP, Nallari Kiran Kumar Reddy, who is maintaining distance from active politics. Kiran Kumar Reddy after serving as the CM of United AP formed a party called ‘Samaikyandhra’ post the bifurcation and even left it in the middle. Even though the senior leaders of AP Congress Committee held discussions with Kiran to bring him back, for some reasons, the talks failed. Now the BJP leaders of AP are looking forward to bringing him onboard the party and making him the face of it in order to gain momentum for the general elections of 2024. As of now the supporters of BJP revealed that some leaders met Kiran Kumar Reddy and soon they would hear positive news from the latter.
Political lovers opine that for the stature of Kiran, he might not accept just any role but the AP Chief of BJP in case he shifts his loyalties from APCC to AP-BJP. In parallel, the BJP wing is not happy with the way Somu Veeraju is leading as the party is barely remembered in the everyday news unlike the times of ex leader Kanna. One has to wait for Kiran Kumar Reddy’s official announcement on his political future course of action.
