Be it sentiments or just wanting, makers and heroes of the Telugu Movie Industry are so certain about following some things in their titles. Earlier we have seen the trends like adding ‘Ra’ to the movies of Victory Venkatesh and most of them are hits the suffix ‘Reddy’ started with the hero Balayya as he scored the most hits as well. Even Megastar Chiranjeevi made sure most of his movie titles have the magical three letters etc. As such a trend almost vanished, the prefix ‘Ustaad’ has again brought back the forgotten title sentiment.
It all started when the Gabbar Singh maker Harish Shankar announced the title ‘Ustad Bhagat Singh’ and immediately a couple of Ram Pothineni fans started the Twitter war by declaring that it was their hero’s tag. Within no time the ardent fans of Pawan Kalyan have come up with the proof that they used the term ‘Ustaad’ way back during the times of Khushi in posters and flexes but even before that, the superhit of the movie ‘Ismart Shankar’ made the director Puri register the sequel plans as ‘Double Ismart Shankar’ and ‘Ustad Ismart Shankar’. As this is not settled yet, the hero Sri Simha has officially come up with the title ‘Ustaad’ and is gearing up for its release. With so much importance around the word Ustad, one cannot help but wonder why these makers and heroes pay much importance to it.
On top of all these discussions, the above-mentioned movies and their titles are said to be officially registered by the makers. Ustad Bhagat Singh is the Telugu remake of the Tamil hit film Theri and is bankrolled by Mythri Movie Makers. In the case of ‘Ustad Ismart Shankar’ the movie is yet to turn into a reality as nothing is materialized as of now. However, Keeravani’s son Simha’s ‘Ustaad’ will soon hit the screens before the other two movies.
