A wrong step by Venkatesh and Rana

Following the trend, Daggubati heroes Victory Venkatesh and Rana teamed up for an interesting OTT web series on Netflix. Titled Rana Naidu, the first episode of the series will unspool on March 10th. The trailer of this Hollywood adaptation was unveiled a few weeks ago. However, it failed to pique the attention of audiences. Due to this, there is hardly any buzz on the web series.

Talk in the industry is that both Venkatesh and Rana went wrong with their calculations in choosing to do a web series. Instead, they should have opted to work for a direct multi-starrer which would have generated more buzz because of their crazy combination. Venky and Rana didn’t appear in any big project in recent times. So, a multi-starrer involving both of them surely would have created solid hype among moviegoers.

Rana Naidu started its filming in mid-2021. The story revolves around Bollywood. Besides Rana and Venky, there are no other notable actors in the series. This is the reason why Telugu audiences didn’t connect much with the teaser and the trailer. Both actors are away from the limelight in recent times. Also, there is no big publicity on the series either ahead of its release next week. Due to this, there is no anticipation for this series. It remains to be seen if the series manages to garner impressive talk and generate a strong viewer count after its release.
