The two Telugu states were shocked by the sensational suicide case of a medical student Preeti three days ago. To everyone’s grief, Preethi has breathed her last in the late night hours of Sunday leaving her family in vain.
Going into the details, the PG student of Kakatiya Medical College, Dr. Preethi had committed suicide as she was harassed multiple times by her senior. Immediately she has rushed to the NIMS hospital three days ago and doctors tried everything to save her life. However, she was declared dead at 9:16 PM on Sunday. Parents of Preeti who hail from a small remote village along with Girigan organization activists reached the place and demanded Minister KTR to the scene or else they won’t sign and give permission to shift the body for further proceedings like Post mortem. According to them, the doctors at NIMS aren’t providing them with the course of medications they tried on Preeti. Meanwhile, Harish Rao responded to the issue and promised to take a severe course of action on the KMS Hod and whoever was responsible for this death.
Janasena Chief Pawan Kalyan expressed his sorrow via press release by paying condolences to the deceased and her family. He opined that if the authorities took care of the issue the moment they got complaints about the alleged harassment, Dr. Preeti’s death would have been avoided. Pawan Kalyan urged the local Government to take strict measures to prevent acts like ragging in colleges, especially in the fields of Medical and Engineering.
