Telugu Desam Party spokesperson Kommareddy Pattabhiram finally made a public appearance. It is known that Pattabhi’s wife Chandana alleged a life threat to Pattabhi and blamed the government for the consequences. It is said that Pattabhi was arrested by the Gannavaram Police after the leader made provocative comments which led to a group clash and inspector Kanaka Rao sustained injuries. He made a formal complaint.
Pattabhi told the judge at Gannavaram in Krishna district that he was beaten up by three unidentified men who were wearing face masks. “I was taken to Thotlavalluru Police Station and in a dark room, I was beaten for around thirty minutes. They used third-degree against me,” he complained to the judge.
Pattabhi tried to show his swollen hand as proof of his allegation. Pattabhi’s wife Chandana expressed fear over the safety of her husband. She alleged that Police might even drug him as well while in their custody.
