The incident happened after Amir Khan’s comments at writer Shobhaa De book launch. The event happened in Mumbai and Shobhaa asked who would be perfect to play her biopic in Bollywood. Amir Khan said that the likes of Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt, and Priyanka Chopra would be perfect. Then Shobhaa De suggested Kangana Ranaut and Amir said, yes she would be perfect as well. She’s a strong actress, very versatile, he said.
However, Kangana got irked as Amir didn’t mention her at first place.
