YSRCP MLA Vasantha Krishna back to TDP?

Monday, December 23, 2024

With each passing day, some sitting MLAs of the ruling party YSRCP are expressing their dissent over their boss Jagan and his style of ruling as the state is fully out of the development groove. One among them is the Mylavaram MLA Vasantha Krishna Prasad.

Vasantha has been showing signs of leaving the party in a recent couple of months as he was completely disappointed at the way YSRCP was ruling the state. With growing anti-incumbency and Jagan’s working style, the MLA stopped attending the meetings of YSRCP and not even caring about Jagan’s strict command of participating in the ‘Gadapa Gadapaku’ program. As this is not enough, the followers of Krishna Prasad have erected flexes of himself alongside Nandamuri Balakrishna and NTR Sr on the occasion of ‘Veera Simha Reddy’ movie release, even though they belong to the rival party. This is a clear indication that the Mylavaram MLA is all set to leave the party.

On the flip side, other YSRCP leaders and in charges of the NTR district tried to pacify Vasantha but the latter expressed his mistake of joining YSRCP and leaving TDP in 2019. Sources close to Jagan’s camp say that the CM is keen on removing Vasantha anyway for the 2024 elections as he is in the list of dissent MLAs. Krishna Prasad would go back to the TDP like old times and might contest from the same Mylavaram against YSRCP.
