In what may be called a shocking turn of events, a team of officials from the Revenue Department created a lot of drama in the educational institution of Gitam University early this morning.
The DGO of Bheemili stated that there were government lands within the premises of Gitam University and they had secured it by hanging a fence. Almost 14 acres of land were encroached on by the University and fortunately, no constructions have been made in those lands in order to demolish them. This is a part of the demolition drive started by the state government in the wake of encroachments. Whatever might be the case, the officials coming early in the morning with a lot of police personnel and disturbing all the students happened to be rude, opined a student.
On the flip side, many TDP leaders of Vizag were house arrested and restricted to visit Gitam University. They questioned the credibility of the ruling party behind arresting them without any reason. They went further and accused Jagan Sarkar of intentionally targeting the TDP party and its community supporters.
