Nandamuri Kalyan Ram is on top of the game after scoring the career-biggest hit with Bimbisara. The period drama emerged as a box office hit and ended Kalyan Ram’s flop streak. He is now looking to experiment with more novel subjects and diverse roles. In his upcoming film Devil, a Naveen Medaram directional, he plays a secret agent who is entrusted with the task of solving a big mystery.
The filming of Devil is on the verge of completion and Kalyan Ram is upbeat about the output so far. He saw the rushes and was delighted with the outcome of the portions that were filmed till now. The story is in the backdrop of Madras presidency in 1945 and Kalyan Ram’s look is designed to resemble the pre-independence era. There is a lot of mystery, intrigue and drama in the story and Kalyan Ram is said to have excelled in his role.
The story is written by Srikanth Vissa, who is also the writer for Allu Arjun’s forthcoming film Pushpa . The music is composed by Harshavardhan Rameshwar.
Devansh Nama is presenting the film, which will release in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil and Kannada in Summer 2023.
