Ace Tollywood producer Dil Raju’s unpalatable remarks on Tamil stars Vijay and Ajith have triggered severe criticism from Tamil moviegoers. Speaking to a Telugu media house, the Varisu ( Varasudu in Telugu) producer openly stated that Thalapathy Vijay is a bigger star than Thala Ajith in Kollywood circles. He further said Varisu should get more screens than Thunivu in Tamil Nadu because Vijay’s stardom is greater than Ajith’s.
Vijay and Ajith are two leading stars of Kollywood. Their fans frequently involve in social media wars to prove who has more craze in the audience and who has more box office records. Now, Dil Raju’s comments have created an unnecessary fuss in Tamil movie circles and also triggered discussions between their fans. Also, there is a severe backlash against Dil Raju for his senseless comparison openly while talking to the media.
Dil Raju said he is requesting Thunivu producers to allot more screens for Varisu because Vijay has more craze than Ajith. Meanwhile, he is also blocking theatres for Varasudu in Telugu States without giving adequate screens for Chiranjeevi’s Waltair Veerayya and Balakrishna’s Veera Simha Reddy which are also releasing during the festival season.
Dil Raju’s double standards are exposed with his statements and he is now at the receiving end from all quarters. He triggered a big controversy in Kollywood by making an unnecessary comparison between Ajith and Vijay. He is facing a lot of ire in Tollywood as well because he is not giving screens for direct Telugu films.
