YSRCP and its leaders are well known for creating hypocrisy with their statements. They often promise one thing and within no time, they act in complete contrast with their words, and the same is observed with one of its important ministers.
Going into the details, AP’s deputy CM, Narayanaswamy the other day held a lengthy meeting with the officials exclusively about liquor sales. He showcased his anguish at the decreased sales of liquor since April of this year in important cities of Andhra like Vizag, Guntur, Kurnool, and Vijayawada. The Minister ordered the entire team of officials to form special committees in the zones which have less revenue to the state in the form of liquor and check where the mishaps are happening. He gave a mandate to the officers to anyhow increase sales by hook or crook.
One has to wonder how the same party of YSRCP and its Chief Jagan came to power by promising a complete ban on alcohol. The government indeed banned alcohol only to manufacture and sell their own brands sponsored by the state government and sold bad quality liquor for higher prices. Now that the sales are decreased in certain areas, Govt itself is making plans to increase them as it has no funds getting from anywhere, thanks to Jagananna’s freebies.
