The ex Joint Director of CBI, Lakshmi Narayana has been making news for the past couple of weeks regarding his future course of action for the 2024 polls. Sources close to this ex-bureaucrat reveal his aspirations to join a national party.
Lakshmi Narayana enjoys a huge following in the two Telugu states for his commitment and sincerity in whatever he does. The ex-IAS officer forayed into Politics and contested as an MP from Vizag under the ticket Janasena only to lose in the triangular fight. Since then he maintained his distance from the party and started working as an individual by floating an NGO. Now that the next polls are approaching, VV Lakshmi Narayana is looking forward to contesting again to represent Vizag in Parliament but no one had a clue regarding which party he would choose to represent.
At this juncture, it was heavily speculated that the national party which is growing rapidly across the nation, AAP recognized Narayana and is keen on asking him to join the party. AAP leaders of Andhra Pradesh have said to be in talks with Narayana and they are even advising to contest as an MLA from Visakhapatnam north rather than as an MP. One has to wait and see if Lakshmi Narayana chooses AAP or contests as an independent. But the observers state that his sharp comments on BJP against their schemes might make him join its rival AAP.
