Tollywood superstar Krishna who was a legendary actor in the Telugu film industry was cremated with all customary state honors today. The final rituals were performed by the actor’s son and actor Mahesh Babu in the Maha Prasthanam in Hyderabad’s Film Nagar.
The funeral received full state honors from the Telangana government under the TRS administration. A cannon salute was fired where the national flag was laid over Krishna’s body before the cremation.
It is known that the Superstar Krishna passed away in the early hours of Tuesday. According to the reports, the veteran actor was admitted to a private hospital due to some illness.
However, the 80-year-old suffered a cardiac arrest and left this world. Many celebrities from Political and film circles attended the funeral to perform their last rites and offer their condolences to the family.
Thousands of fans from various regions have also gathered to see their favorite star one last time.
Speaking about the superstar, Krishna was one of the few star actors in the south with a huge fan base. The actor was known for his unique roles and performances including Gudachari 116, Niluvu Dopidi, Manchi Kutumbam, Mosagallaku Mosagadu, Alluri Seetharama Raju, and many the list.
