500 Crores at stake for UV Creations

Renowned Tollywood production house UV Creations has a reputation for making big-budget entertainers laced with top-notch technical values. They made big-ticket films like Saaho, Radhe Shyam and Bhaagamathie in the last few years. At present, they are pooling money bags for Suriya’s pan-India period spectacle Kanguva.

Besides Kanguva, UV Creations has lined up a couple of crazy projects that are going to be made on a staggering budget. One of them is the recently announced Megastar Chiranjeevi’s film with Bimbisara director Mallidi Vasistha. The ambitious project is touted to be a socio-fantasy thriller that will be made along the lines of Chiranjeevi’s iconic hit Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari. And, the second project is Akhil’s Dheera which will be helmed by debutant Anil Kumar.

While Chiru’s film will have a budget of 225-250 Crores budget, Akhil’s outing will be made with 100 Crores budget. For Suriya’s Kanguva, UV partnered with Studio Green and agreed to invest around 175 Crores towards its making.

On the whole, UV Creations is taking a huge gamble by investing more than 500 Crores for all these three visual spectacles. It is a big risk on their part considering the limited market of Suriya and Chiranjeevi who are confined only to their respective home states. Also, Akhil is yet to score a commercial success even in the Telugu States.

UV Creations believes that content will have the final say at the box office. They are confident all these films will do phenomenal business in all territories.
