After Boris Johnson declared his resignation from his position as the Prime Minister of the UK, there are more and more candidates vying to succeed. Rishi Sunak, who is of Indian descent, is one of the nine participants already; two more recently joined the roster. Deputy Minister Rahman Chisti and British Foreign Minister Liz Truss both declared their intention to contest. Chisti is originally from Pakistan. Former health secretary Sajid Javid, who is also of Pakistani ancestry, has already declared his candidacy.
