The ruling party YSRCP is now in damage control mode to gain popularity among the common voters.
Starting from the Kapu community, the party is now focussing to conduct community-wise meetings to showcase what it has done until now to them respectively.
Monday witnessed a small size Kapu leaders meet in the city of Rajamahendravaram and the group took a decision to organize all YSRCP Kapu community leaders meet that is to be held in Vijayawada.
The main aim of this meeting is to counter the opposition parties Janasena and TDP which are constantly targeting the ruling party’s downplay for Kapu voters in the state.
Minister Botsa on Monday said that his Chief Jagan Mohan Reddy for the first time in the history of AP Politics has given 15% more seats than any other ruling party to Kapus.
He added that the YSRCP government stood top in giving four cabinet positions and ministries to Kapu leaders proving that it is always a supporter of the community.
Not stopping there, the education minister reminded that 2 Mayors, 7 Municipal Chairmen, and 44 MPPs are from his community.
Another kapu leader Ambati Rambabu urged all the Kapu voters not to believe in anything uttered by Janasena President Pawan Kalyan and stated that he would prove how 70 lakhs voters of the Kapu community got benefited from the YSRCP ruling in the last three years.
So all have set their eyes on the upcoming all-Kapu meet in Vijayawada amidst the latest developments.
Seems YCP has woken up as it sensed the shift of loyalties of Kapu voters to Janasena for the 2024 polls.
