The ruling party YSRCP again proved its ridiculousness in making one of its public meetings a hit. The party dared to warn and fine the government beneficiaries and volunteers to fill the entire meeting.
As the opposition party TDP successfully portrayed that the AP Government is faking developing Kurnool, the YSRCP took the issue quite seriously. It planned and organized a public meeting in Kurnool today under the name ‘Seema Garjana’ and the government officials of that region worked hard for this meeting to make it a success even though it was a separate party meeting. The officials warned all the volunteers to mobilize crowds at any cost and directed the transport department to arrange 700-plus buses from the nearby regions. As this is not enough, DWCRA members were warned with a fine of 100 rupees each if they fail to attend the meeting. Entire educational institutions were given unconditional holidays and some exams were postponed for this private meeting.
Despite such hard measures, the meeting became a flop show and half of the grounds were empty as the organizers failed to provide minimum things like water. Policemen worked as YSRCP volunteers trying to stop people who leave the meeting but none could stop the public who returned to their homes in the middle of ministers’ speeches.
