From the day YSRCP led by YS Jagan Mohan Reddy came to power in Andhra Pradesh after the resounding victory in the 2019 assembly elections, a group of its MLAs and Ministers has adopted only one agenda – to bad-mouth opposition leaders like Chandra Babu Naidu, Lokesh, and Pawan Kalyan.
Over the last five years, there have been umpteen occasions in which some YCP leaders used derogatory language with unsavoury remarks on politicians belonging to TDP and Janasena. The Chief Minister himself resorted to making unnecessary comments on Pawan Kalyan’s personal life during his public meetings. Ministers like Kodali Nani, Roja, Perni Nani, Ambati Ram Babu, Gudivada Amarnath and many others stooped so low and made comments in Assembly sessions and also during press meetings.
This seems to be a vile tactic adopted by YS Jagan Mohan Reddy himself because some of his leaders who came out of the party due to some misunderstandings openly disclosed this fact. The latest MLA who openly divulged this deplorable political malaise that is being implemented by the ruling dispensation in Andhra Pradesh is Mylavaram MLA Vasantha Krishna Prasad.
Krishna Prasad said he recently met Jagan Mohan Reddy and got assurance for an MLA ticket from Mylavaram but only with a condition to abuse CBN and Lokesh in public. This has reportedly irked him and prompted to disown the party ahead of assembly elections in April.
He informed that very soon he is going to join the TDP and work along with Devineni Uma in the coming elections. Vasantha Krishna Prasad is among many MLAs who is going to switch parties from YSRCP to Telugu Desam. This could another blow for Jagan and his government.
