The ruling party YSRCP which won the most number of MLA seats in the district of Visakhapatnam in the 2019 elections is now finding it difficult to regain control for the upcoming elections. The leaders as well as the voters in the district are vexed with the ruling party.
Except for Visakhapatnam North and West Constituencies, the ruling party YSRCP conquered all the remaining five seats that included the partial Pendurthi with the Jagan wave. Despite such a majority, the MLAs of YSRCP didn’t develop the city and the CM’s activities in Vizag city even deteriorated the beauty of the steel city. All these made the voters grow a lot of negativity on YSRCP and now they are finding it difficult to deal with their MLAs. In this regard, the opposition party TDP which secured the second-strongest vote bank in these areas is looking forward to gaining momentum with the help of its possible alliance partner Janasena. Even with the two big parties TDP and YSRCP, Janaasena managed to get a decent number of votes in these seven constituencies and the union of Janasena and TDP would fetch impeccable results in Vizag district.
Janasena and TDP are now campaigning individually trying their best to improve their vote bank. As of now, there is no official alliance but it cannot be ruled off as Pawan Kalyan many times declared that he would not split the anti-incumbency votes for 2024 such that his determination of dethroning Jagan would be possible.
