On Tuesday, the Supreme Court transferred the AP former Minister Late YS Vivekananda Reddy’s murder case from AP to Special CBI Court Hyderabad. The Supreme Court took this decision upon receiving the petition by the deceased’s daughter Suneetha Narreddy.

The court also ordered the CBI to deal the case in an independent and unbiased manner.

As we know that Vivekananda Reddy was the brother of the Andhra Pradesh’s former Chief Minister, late YS Rajasekhara Reddy. The senior leader has been brutally murdered under mysterious circumstances at his residence in Pulivendula, Kadapa in 2019.

Fed up with the inconsistencies in the investigation, YS Vivekananda Reddy’s daughter Suneetha approached the High Court by expressing her doubts over the investigation by the SIT in 2020.

Later the court ordered the CBI to begin the investigation and complete it as the earliest. However it was put on hold in 2021 due to the rise of the COVID cases in the country.

Now with the latest decision by the Supreme court to transfer the Viveka’s murder investigation to CBI special court in Hyderabad has been bringing back hope in the family of the former AP Minister.
