Finally, YS Vijayamma jumped into the row over share in YS properties going on for the last couple of days between two of her children, former chief minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy and APCC chief YS Sharmila and admitted in this case Jagan done injustice to Sharmila.
Moreover, she also asserted that the MoU signed by Jagan in 2019 giving shares in properties to Sharmila was not `out of love towards sister’ as claimed by him, but it was her right to get it.
In an open letter addressed to YSR fans, she deplored that she felt very hurt seeing the events going on in YSR’s property dispute, he felt very hurt. “I don’t understand what has happened to my family. No matter how much I try to stop these situations, all the things that should not happen are happening in front of my eyes”.
“They are talking about this family as if they like it. They are going nowhere. It is not good for my children” Vijayamma said and added that “I am begging you with both hands raised as your daughter. Please don’t talk down about my family and children”.
She also appealed not to write fictional stories and not to slander on social media. If there is true love for her family, she asked them not to talk more and expressed hope that a permanent solution to this problem will be found.
Vijayamma has strongly refuted claims by both YV Subba Reddy and Vijayasai Reddy with regard to their family properties row and termed both of their versions as simply `lies’.
“YV Subbareddy, Vijayasai Reddy, others are forgetting that they are talking about YSR and without realizing that they are defaming his family they have told many lies. They said that the properties were distributed while YSR was still alive. This is untrue”, she said.
She made it clear that from the days when YSR’s two children were growing up, some properties belonged to Sharmila and also some assets were given in the name of Jagan. But, she asserted that It was not the case that the assets were given to Sharmi while he was alive.
“Vijaysai Reddy is an auditor so he knows everything. As a relative of the family YS Subba Reddy signed the MoU as witness. However, I am very saddened by the untruths being told in the media by them. I am telling the straight truth so that the chain of lies does not continue”, she added.
In an emotional tone, Vijayamma said that both Jagan and Sharmila are her children and as a mother, they are both equal to her. Also, she revealed that Rajasekhar Reddy wanted all assets to be distributed equally between four grandchildren and Jagan promised his father she would take care of sister.
According to her, Jagan assured his father that “I will be the first person to seek Sharmila’s welfare in this world”. She also said that Rs 200 crore was given to Sharmila as dividends towards her shares in the properties, which was her right, but not at mercy.
