APCC chief YS Sharmila Reddy lamented that two big political parties in AP, Telugu Desam Party and YSRCP, have joined hands with the BJP and are supporting the injustice being done by BJP. Hoisting the national flag on the Republic Day at the Andhra Ratna Bhavan in Vijayawada, she was angry that even though BJP has cheated on the promises of bifurcation, the two parties are competing to form alliances with the BJP.
She alleged that while CM Chandrababu’s alliance is in front of the screen, former CM Jaganmohan Reddy’s is behind the scenes alliance. She strongly criticized Jagan for enslaving BJP and trampling on YSR’s aspirations. Though Dalits voted for Jagan, helping in his previous victory, she deplored that he has no gratitude towards them.
Sharmila expressed her anger that there is not even the slightest rebuke when BJP is trying to humiliate Dalits and questioned why YSRCP is keeping silent when BJP insults Ambedkar? She said that placing statues of Ambedkar does not reflect respect. She asked why Jagan remained silent when Ambedkar was insulted in the Parliament?
She was furious that the YSRCP MLAs and MPs did not say a single word and both the parties remained silent when Ambedkar was insulted in the Parliament. YS Sharmila warned that there is a danger from the BJP, and that if the BJP continues in power, it will change the constitution and also lift reservations.
She accused the BJP of tying up the wealth of this country to Adani, and if it is still in power, it will create a rift between religions and castes. YS Sharmila said that only Congress can do good for this country.
Stating that all the rights we are enjoying are provided by our Constitution, Sharmila Reddy lamented the BJP for not respecting the Constitution. She accused BJP leaders of inciting conflicts in the name of religion and caste, and of tying the country’s wealth to Prime Minister Modi’s friends. YS Sharmila criticized Prime Minister Modi for misusing government institutions and insulting Ambedkar on the platform of Parliament.
