YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) former Chief Minister and party leader Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy is preparing for the 2024 elections with a significant overhaul of the party’s leadership throughout Andhra Pradesh. In an attempt to strengthen the party from the ground level up, Jagan is set on reshuffling critical leadership positions after the party’s last electoral defeat. His agenda, which he has termed as YSRCP 2.0, has the intention of infusing the party with fresh energy and higher organization.
As a part of this new phase, Jagan has appointed observers for all 25 Parliamentary constituencies in the state. These leaders, a mix of former MLAs, MLCs, and seasoned party veterans, will be entrusted with monitoring grassroots level functioning and galvanizing the party cadre, making for strong grassroot level participation and strategic electioneering.
