The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh joyously laid the foundation stone for the construction of Central Tribal University granted by the Union Central Government during the bifurcation in the town of Salur in Vizianagaram district. The CM expressed his happiness over the grant and hailed the idea of allocating the University to AP in the presence of Union Minister of Education and Skill Development, Dharmendra Pradhan.

Speaking to the scribes, Jagan stated that the tribal people have led a life full of struggles and obstacles and that Central Tribal University will aid their lives and transform their livelihood in many ways. Claiming that the YSRCP has always respected and tried to uplift Tribals by also making a Tribal MLA a Deputy CM, Jagan added that the AP Government is doing everything in its hands to provide welfare, electricity, education, and free houses to the Tribal people. Reminding that he named a district as Alluri district depicts Jagan’s special love towards the people who live in forests far from the development. The CM also listed out all the funds the YSRCP-led AP Government directed towards the tribals of AP.

The Central Tribal University was proposed way back but the Central Government only moved the file in recent times keeping the elections of 2024 in mind. Finally, the foundation stone was laid today and the University will be finished in a couple of years if everything goes well in Salur.
