After a humiliating defeat in last year’s election, confining his party to a nominal 11 assembly seats, former chief minister and YSRCP chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy is hardly touring in the state. Not only is he avoiding attending assembly sessions, even preventing his party MLAs from attending.
He has been telling his party leaders that he would soon conduct a state-wide tour, visit every district and hold assembly-wise meetings with party cadres. But not materializing. He is not available at the party headquarters or his residence in Tadepalli. He is seen only two days in a week and most of the time spending at his Bangalore palace, away from party leaders also.
He is reportedly holding important consultations related to his business or financial transactions at his Bangalore palace. This has been creating discontent among his own party leadership. Taking this as an advantage, the leaders of alliance parties- TDP, Jana Sena and BJP are calling Jaganmohan Reddy by a new name `Works from Bangalore’.
Usually, the name `Work from Home’ became popular particularly during Covid 19 period, as several corporate companies, particularly IT companies allowed their employees to work from their respective residences. Now, leaders of the ruling coalition are trolling Jagan by changing it a bit and calling him `Work from Bangalore’.
They are addressing him by this new name when they have to criticize Jagan on social media as well as in their press meetings. It has become a routine for Jagan to go to Bangalore every week. YS Jagan, who comes from Bangalore to Amaravati on Monday of the week, returns to Bangalore on Thursday evening.
He stays there again on Friday, Saturday and Sunday and returns on Monday. With this, all the leaders of the alliance parties are now describing Jagan as Work from Bangalore. However, even though there is no clarity as to who invented this new name in the alliance, all the leaders are using it one after another.
YCP sources have not given a counter to this so far. In the past, when TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu and Jana Sena’s Pawan Kalyan were in the opposition, they used to stay in Hyderabad more often. At that time, the YSRCP used to criticize them for coming and going to the state as guests.
Later, when the elections were approaching, Chandrababu Naidu and Pawan stayed in the state and campaigned. Now, as Jagan is going to Bangalore in the same way, it seems that they are trolling him in the name of “Work from Bangalore”.
